The Good News Club is a weekly meeting for boys and girls aged between 4 and 10 years old.

We meet every Thursday night at 7pm from October through to Easter in Loughbrickland Mission Hall.

G.N.C. activities include:

  • Singing Choruses
  • Learning Bible Verses
  • Listening to Bible and Missionary Stories
  • Weekly Bible Quiz
  • Participating in crafts once a month

“GNC” began in October 2005 under the direction of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). It is an international, interdenominational Organization which teaches the Bible to children in over 150 countries throughout the world.

At GNC the children are taught from God’s Word, the Bible. This is done through singing, learning Bible verses, a Bible lesson and of course the very important quiz!

This year we have looked into the lives of Deborah and Barak, Gideon and Samson. The next five lessons were based on the topic of Prayer, followed by lessons on the First Christians. We also like to take time out and follow the life of a missionary and this year it was Bill Woods – “Angel of the Amazon”.

From time to time we have visiting speakers and this year we had Attracta Hanna, a CEF missionary in Dublin and Alison Bingham, a local girl, come to our Christmas club.

Each member of the GNC team know and love the Lord Jesus as their own personal Saviour and we seek to teach the children faithfully from God’s Word. This year we have twenty children on the roll book but we would normally have an average of twelve to fourteen weekly.

Thank you to all the parents who send their children faithfully throughout the year. It is very encouraging.
